SUMMARY:Carpet Cleaning Technician
DESCRIPTION:The IICRC-approved Carpet Cleaning Technician (CCT) course is designed to teach the art and science of carpet cleaning to professional service providers\, as well as others in related industries.  Emphasis is placed on practical application\, identifying fiber\, yarn and carpet constructions\, style types and finishes\, soiling conditions\, cleaning science and methodology\, and other issues and concerns faced by individuals who maintain and clean installed broadloom carpet.  When coupled with additional on-the-job training and field experience\, students should be adequately prepared to perform carpet cleaning techniques and procedures. They also should be adequately prepared to accomplish further training in other IICRC-approved courses\, which require CCT as a prerequisite.  The course is designed to cover pre-inspection\, fabric identification\, basic cleaning chemicals and equipment\, and proper cleaning techniques and procedures with a residential and light commercial emphasis. \nCourse Details \n2 day course; 14 hours\, not including exam time\, lunch and breaks \nExam fee: $65.00 payable to the IICRC and collected by instructor prior to exam. \nIf you attend this class you are eligible to attend Spotting Workshop 030316 Free!  Just write in the memo portion of your order that you will be attending\, please do not purchase separately! \n

The class will teach you the chemicals\, procedures\, an insider secrets and “tricks of the trade.” You will learn ways to remove the most difficult stains without a dangerous iron and without messing up a bunch of towels. You’ll have a better understanding of all of the chemicals in your arsenal\, and when to use them most effectively. \n  \nPet Odor– Finally\, an effective yet simple way to get rid of the stink. Almost every single job you go on has an organic odor problem in one form or another\, especially those odors coming from pets. \nThis short seminar will teach you some of the most effective yet simple ways to handle pet odor problems. Not only is deodorization very profitable when done correctly\, it is also an extremely valuable service for your customer. \nEncapsulation – High speed low moisture commercial carpet cleaning is a must for the cleaning contractor\, especially during times such as seasonal slow downs or economic down turns\, etc. Commercial properties have image and health concerns (IAQ) to consider as well as simple appearance issues. They typically are not affected by the standard industry trends that you may run into with the residential market. In many cases there is no additional equipment needed to perform commercial carpet cleaning. However\, diversifying into encapsulation cleaning gives tremendous advantages over standard hot water extraction methods. \nLow moisture encapsulation cleaning allows you to achieve two to three times the production rates of HWE while many times gaining a superior result. This equates to $200 – $300 per hour or more with less overhead and job cost. This also opens up a tremendous opportunity to pick up other services in the building such as stone care\, tile and grout cleaning\, wood cleaning and more.
