SUMMARY:Commercial Drying Specialist
DESCRIPTION:(Prerequisite:  IICRC Certification in WRT) \nThis course is a 4-day course that provides training in the proper set-up\, equipment and project management of commercial losses.  Commercial drying projects frequently have many more potential hazards and safety risks that are not generally encountered on residential projects. These hazards may include but not be limited to higher voltages\, confined spaces\, energized machinery\, hazardous chemicals\, heavy equipment and forklifts. The CDS course is not intended to be a health and safety course\, nor will it cover all of the potential hazards or OSHA compliance issues that may be encountered on commercial projects. It is required of participants to comply with all applicable local\, state/provincial and national safety rules and regulations. The participant is strongly advised to research and complete appropriate training programs (e.g. HST\, OSHA 10-hour\, Canadian HST) prior to participating in the CDS course. \nThe Commercial Drying Specialist course teaches proper inspection and preliminary determinations\, work flow and project management\, process administration and technical methods of effective and timely drying of commercial\, industrial\, institutional and complex residential water-damaged structures\, systems and contents.  The understanding of commercial projects is very different and more complex than that of typical residential structures.  The students will experience the set-up of large loss projects including equipment such as desiccants as well as managing the power constraints through the use of generators and power splitters.  This course is MUST for individuals involved in large-loss and CAT work! \nCourse Details \n\n4 day course; 32 hours\, not including exam time\, lunch and breaks\nInstructor: Scott Mims

SUMMARY:Fast Track - Diversify your Business
DESCRIPTION:A series of 3 – 2 hour workshops to enhance your business \n****If you take CCT ON September 20-21\, 2017 you can attend the workshops at NO CHARGE!  Select the FAST TRACK WITH CCT Option below**** \nWorkshop#1:  8:30 am – 10:00 am Encapsulation Cleaning: \nHigh speed low moisture commercial carpet cleaning is a must for the cleaning contractor\, especially during times such as seasonal slow downs or economic down turns\, etc.  Commercial properties have image and health concerns (IAQ) to consider as well as simple appearance issues.  They typically are not affected by the standard industry trends that you may run into with the residential market.  In many cases there is no additional equipment needed to perform commercial carpet cleaning.  However\, diversifying into encapsulation cleaning gives tremendous advantages over standard hot water extraction methods. \nLow moisture encapsulation cleaning allows you to achieve two to three times the production rates of HWE while many times gaining a superior result.  This equates to $200- $300 per hour or more with less overhead and job cost.  This also opens up a tremendous opportunity to pick up other services in the building such as stone care\, tile and grout cleaning\, wood cleaning and more.  Now is the time to pursue commercial carpet cleaning. \nWorkshop# 2:  10:15 am – 12:15 pm Advanced Spot and Stain Removal: \nConsumer Surveys of those who have their carpet professionally cleaned consistently show that one of the primary reasons why consumers hire a professional is because they believe the professional can do a better job of removing spots and stains.  You can clean 999 sq ft of dirty carpet perfectly\, but is there is still a green stain in the living room that didn’t come out\, the customer is still disappointed.  The Advanced Spot and Stain Removal workshop will equip you with everything you need to know to get out virtually every stain – including mustard and children’s fruit drinks.  The class will teach you the chemicals\, procedures\, and insider secrets and “tricks of the trade”. You will learn ways to remove the most difficult stains without a dangerous iron and without messing up a bunch of towels.  You’ll have a better understanding of all of the chemicals in your arsenal\, and when to use them effectively. \nWorkshop# 3:   1:00 pm – 3:00 pm Oriental Rug Cleaning  \nMost every home or office building you enter has wood\, tile or stone flooring somewhere on the premises.  This means most of these floors also have area rugs.  This provides a tremendous income opportunity for the “on-location” cleaner for cleaning and protection of these rugs.  This service brings about an average charge of $1 – $3 per sq ft depending on fiber type and construction and can usually be done on location.  As you move into “investment grade” or heirloom rugs which can be valued in the tens of thousands of dollars or more\, there are “in plant” procedures available.  These require special training and typically a significant investment to get involved; however\, this is a very profitable services that many times brings in fees of $3 – $7 per sq ft or more. \n
