DESCRIPTION:Prerequisite–The IICRC Water Restoration Tech Training must be completed prior to attending the AMRT training. \n**PLEASE BRING YOUR FULL FACE RESPIRATORS TO TRAINING FOR THIS CLASS \n** IF ATTENDEES BRING RESPIRATORS (OR PURCHASE AT TRAINING CLASS) AND THEIR MEDICAL EVALUATIONS\, THE INSTRUCTOR WILL PERFORM A PROPER FIT TESTING AND WILL PROVIDE THE REQUIRED LAMINATED CERTIFICATION CARD. OSHA REQUIRES A YEARLY FIT TESTING AND MEDICAL EVALUATION IS REQUIRED YEARLY. \nOverview \nIICRC Certified & Approved Applied Microbial Remediation Technician course covers mold and sewage remediation techniques to individuals engaged in property management\, property restoration\, IEQ investigations or other related professions. Emphasis will be placed on teaching mold and sewage remediation techniques to individuals who will perform these procedures in the field. Course graduates will be adequately equipped to perform remediation services\, while protecting the health and safety of workers and occupants. \nKey Topics \n\n Introduction to Mold and HVAC\n Standards and Guidelines\n Microbial Effects and Safety\n On-Site Assessment\n Detection Equipment and Sampling\n Containment Planning and Strategies\n Remediation Equipment\n Cleaning Protocols\n Decontamination and Cleaning\n Special Circumstances\n Respiratory Protection\n Job Safety Analysis\n Hands on Demonstration\n\nSpecial Points of Instruction \nIn the Applied Microbial Remediation Technician Course you will learn about the principles\, methods\, procedures and tools for structural and content remediation. The course addresses guidelines and industry standards\, containment types and set-ups\, pressure differentials\, demolition and cleaning procedures\, microbiology\, personal protection equipment and sampling methods. It provides the training to conduct remediation projects includes a hands-on section and concludes with the exam to receive IICRC™ certificate. \nCourse Details \n\n4 day course; 28 hours\, not including exam time\, lunch and breaks\nExam fee: $150.00 payable to the IICRC and collected by instructor prior to exam\nInstructor: Richard Driscoll
